Grant Patten, information professional & user experience (UX) specialist, holds a BFA in Image Arts (specialization: Film/Video) from Ryerson University and an ALA-accredited master's degree in Information Science (specialization: Critical Information Studies; now Critical Information Policy Studies) from the University of Toronto. Patten is an Akendi Certified User Experience Designer CXD™ (CXD-901-15-075).
Patten developed his visual communication and project management skills at Ryerson, where he wrote and directed many short films and videos. At U of T, Patten completed courses on user experience design, information architecture, requirements gathering and ethnographic research, among other professionally-oriented subjects.
With 7+ years of UX-related work experience, underpinned by a strong academic background, Patten brings both a theoretical and practical understanding to the design and execution of effective user experiences.
Patten was born and raised in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
